Being in the this "real" world isn't a joke. You know it was different in college. If you messed up or didn't like something you could take it back or change it. What was great about it, was that you were a college student and didn't take it seriously... However now, I'm having to make all kinds of decisions, and give my opinion to VP's and really back it all up! Granted, the position I have is something truly unique and I'm grateful. But the work I am doing now, is work that I would be doing with 5 years experience at least under my belt. I guess you could say this is why I LOVE job, and the crazy experience I'm getting throughout all this.
So in case you didn't know, I've decided to stay here for a little while. Who really knows for how long, I'm just enjoying life and trying to get the most out of it! And for those of you reading this (all 5 of you- shout out to my fam) and are wanting an island adventure vacation get-away... COME VISIT! I really do miss everyone. It's funny, I was helping these backpackers check into our hostel the other day and one of them just LOOKED like he was from Boonetown. Hah needless to say HE WAS!!! I was freakin' out. This guy, graduated the exact same day as me and even had the same major! Talk about a small world. I never knew him at ASU but we knew all the same people. Increible!
As for what I'm up these days... just working. Which entails all kinds of stuff really: Marketing of course, coordinating activities, event planning, setting up partnerships, getting ready for the new Bocas Info Center to open (home to my new office), about to get Scuba certified (why not!), graphic design projects, web projects, painting, and dancing, ALL the time. Haha But all this isn't worth it if I can't share it with my friends and family! SO COME SEE ME!!
Chow!
Frances
