If there is one word I could describe this place with, it would be the word... dance. The people here LOVE to dance, the stars dance at night as they come out and light the sky, and bio-luminescences dance across the sea at night as the water lights up! Bocas del Toro is a place of dance.
It's funny how about two years ago while I was in Miami, a man asked if I was Panamanian... When I asked him why he would ask that, he said I had rhythm about me that resemble this country. And now it kinda makes since.. haha Locally, they say I'm really not American; That I have to be Panamanian because of how much I eat and how much I love to dance. Hah, And I was worried about fitting in...
It's been awhile since I wrote last. I'm sorry about that... Things have been absolutely crazy on my end. I started work, which led to a to-do list with like 100 things! And when I did find some time off, I have been sleeping, or hiding out on a beach or another island. But I love the work here... It gets stressful at times, but its those moments when you see a dolphin on the way to work that makes everything about this place and its challenges, WORTH it.
For now on I'm going to try and post at least once a week. Sorry again for the delay but stay in touch! I want to keep sharing my stories with those out there. And for those of you reading this.... COME VISIT! Panama truly needs to be a top destination, and especially Bocas Del Toro. There is NOTHING like it anywhere...
OVER AND OUT
