Life in the slow lane

Ahh.... So sorry it's been a whole 8 days since I last posted. This past week I spent settling in here and learning everything my job and new life has to offer. I can say that every day I'm here I love this place more and more. And not only the place, but the people. If there is one thing I've learned about my new job, it is that the Red Frog Employees are truly a family...

So over the last week I took time to hang out with all the different people here to get to know everyone better: The locals, the managers, and even guests who stay here. And good news so far, I think I fit in great. Everyone is so laid back and likes to joke around, its so cool. Plus we do such cool things together. A couple of days ago, a few of us went wake boarding, two nights ago I went to a party with the Canopy Tour workers who are born and raised here (and speak little to no english), and today a bunch of us hiked to this remote snorkeling spot (we saw a shark!). I can't wait till surf season hits and wave start to roll in, we'll be out there everyday!  Hmm what else....

My work is great so far. Hah I was telling somebody the other day, I've been training in the zipline, snorkling, and bar work. I think after a week of vacationing I'm ready to actually start. So tomorrow will be my first day in town working. I went last week with my boss who showed me around and showed me the all marketing opportunities. Mostly my work will consist of talking to people, handing out fliers, forming partnerships with other businesses, and planning events. All things I love.. Let's just hope the heat doesn't get too bad. It's definitely hot here, but I'm surviving. Well that's it for now. I'll try to write as much as I can.

Meanwhile, check out the new "Visit Panama" commercial where we are featured with our Canopy Tour and beach!
