COSTA RiCA!!!

"Yo trabajo en la informática" was the only response I could come up with to the non-English man sitting beside me on the plane, when he simply asked "What do you do for a living?" Quickly referring to my Guide To Latin America Spanish handbook, "I work with computers" was the only response listed on the page, soooo I went with it. Haha The flight was rather pleasant, and not as stressful as i thought it would be flying stand bye. The fact that this Spanish man sitting beside me, had me babysit his baby chihuahua half the time, made the flight quite the interesting.

I arrived today around 11am CR time (totally didn't realize we are two hours being Est. time here) and took a taxi straight to Hostel Pangea here in the capitol of San Jose. Let me just say, after spending the day here.... It is definitely not what I expected. This is such a beautiful place but within the city walls of San Jose, it is quite the 2nd world compared to the United States. So much trash is all over this city that I feel like has so much history. So far, the people we have encountered have been extremely nice and helpful. Life runs on a different pace here in Central America.

The hostel we are staying at tonight, on the other hand, is the coolest thing I have ever been to. Every single wall and corridor is painted in such bright colors and designs that reflect the youth of the city. Techno remixes blasting through the glass walls make this place fun and exciting. During the day today, we spent a majority of our time laying out by the pool here. As for tonight, we're calling it early to get a good nights sleep after a long day of traveling. Tomorrow, Helen, Matt, and I will catch a 6am bus headed to Puerto Viejo located on the Caribbean side of the country. I'm excited to travel by bus through the country side. Maybe we'll catch a glimpse of one of the many active Volcanoes here! Then by lunch time.... LA PLAYA!!!! Beach time till the end of the week:)

As they say here CONSTANTLY....

PURE VIDA!!!! ^_^
