Year of the Dragon!

That's right folks!! HAPPY NEW YEAR! And this time, it's all about the DRAGON. Being a 1989 baby, Dragon years are MY years and I'm ready to fully take charge of this one.

First off, I hope everyone had an amazing holiday:) Mine was filled with work, tourist and giving back. This year I started a new Christmas Charity at Red Frog where we all collected money to buy gifts for the kids in the village next door to us. And on a very rainy Christmas Eve, we went and delivered the gifts to the kids. It was a very cherishing experience to give back during the holidays. I often wondered if they even knew it was Christmas. Do these kids even have the chance to believe in Santa, and the magic it brings? Probably not, but if we could raise their spirits even just for an hour, it would be worth it.

As for New Years, that was quite awesome. I had a small piece of home come see me the day after Christmas. It was nice to have a familiar face here on the islands to share all the experiences Bocas has to offer! Lets see, in one week my sister and I went caving exploring, scuba diving, zip-lining, snorkeling, and made chocolate. Not to mention partying the night away on new years while trying to dodge fireworks being shot on the street, and eating wayyy too good. Yeah you could say it was a good week.


But now shes gone, and what's left is this same life I've been living for the past eight months. Working away at a Resort on these islands in Panama in the middle of the Caribbean. However I'm not done. There is still so much out there to see and do. This year it will be about making moves, growing as an individual, and finding happiness in all the places that it matters most. I also want to make a point to surround myself with good, positive people, and my loved ones. Lastly, I want a dog. That's all for now... What do YOU want out of this New Year?
